I originally began taking this meditative form of T’ai Chi out of curiosity and a desire for a relaxing form of exercise. Robynn’s gentle way of teaching, and her obvious joy in this moving meditation made me study this form more intensively. I was wearing a knee brace at the beginning, due to an injury many years before. Within a year, I no longer needed the knee brace because the passive resistance of this method of movement had strengthened my leg muscles to support my knee. It is 13 years since I started, the knee brace is a distant memory, and with Robynn’s coaching I am now a certified teacher in T’ai Chi Gong, and T’ai Chi Chih as well. Thanks Robynn, for your classes and your support of my goal!

I have been taking T’ai Chi with Robynn for 5 years and have learned to enjoy each movement; each has a flow of energy that balances your body, mind and spirit. While at first I believed [the goal]… was to perform T’ai Chi correctly, I found how every time I practiced I became balanced. This is how Robynn teaches. She allows each person to discover T’ai Chi Gong at their own pace, while instructing the correct way to move your body. She is amazing. Each student comes away with peace in their soul, a smile on their face and energy for their bodies… I only hope I can reach that state of mind and to pass it on, one person at a time.

I started Robynn’s Tai Chi class in the fall of 2018 because of muscle issues in one of my legs. At the time my physical activities were strength training 3 times a week, walking and gardening. I was looking for a different way to move my body. Years ago (for 2 years) I attended Taoist Tai Chi and recognized the meditative and physical benefits, and now was looking for a different form of Tai Chi. I absolutely love Robynn’s practice. Movement is balanced sideways, forward, back, clockwise, counter clockwise. Every muscle is gently moved and massaged. Our backs are held straight, so posture improves. We learn to control our breath and strengthen our legs. And because each movement is repeated, you have time to focus on and refine the movement. Best of all, Robynn always has a smile on her face as she instructs us through each move. Her positive energy transfuses to the space and those in it.

I have been practising Tai chi gong for about 2 years. I am so grateful to Robyn for giving us seniors her wonderful energy that transfers unto us. She reminds us to do deep breathing which seems to put us into a meditation that brings us to improved health. Robynn reminds us to go into gratitude pose and think of all that we are grateful for. This is very important for me to replace feeling cranky with gratitude. All and all I look forward to her classes of gentle movement, stretches, and deep breathing. I feel it has improved my all over all well being! Thank you Robynn ️

I started taking Robynn’s classes 4 years ago as an alternative form of exercise after injuring my back. Robynn’s joyful demeanor permeates the class while the accompanying music enhances the natural flow of the movements. With a little practice, the Tai Chi moves are easily learned and become second nature over time. Robynn’s effervescent approach creates a refreshing tone which makes all participants feel energized and welcome. The classes are simultaneously invigorating and relaxing, allowing you to enjoy the movements stresslessly.

I have enjoyed and benefited from Robynn Honeychurch’s Tai Chi Gong classes for the last 13 years. Robynn and her positive guidance provide a gentle exercise and calmness on the mind and body and “joy through movement”. I hope to continue this soulful and rewarding practice for many years to come.

Robynn’s class was the first T’ai Chi experience for me, and I could not imagine a better way to be introduced to this practice. Robynn has such a lovely presence, guiding us gently through the flowing movements with her joyful energy, making us aware of our breathing, and focusing our minds. The collective group energy is felt by each participant in the class and the feeling of togetherness that results has been a life-saver during these challenging times. I come away from her class each time feeling “vibrantly healthy, peaceful, and energized”, as well as grateful for the gifts in my life.
